 What is Active Release Techniques? (ART®)
Active Release Technique is a soft-tissue management system based on scientific evidence that muscles, nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue develop adhesions within and between them after cumulative injuries. These adhesions cause the motion of muscles or joints to be altered, resulting in a wide variety of symptoms including pain, weakness, reduced range of motion, numbness and tingling. What attracts so many professional athletes and weekend warriors to ART® are the quick results obtained without surgery.
Who can provide ART®?
 Only those credentialed in ART® can effectively render treatment. Part of remaining credentialed is the re-credentialing process
involving yearly continuing education. Many claim to know ART® who have never attended formal training. There are only a handful of ART® credentialed chiropractors in the state of Arizona, and All Star Health has three of them!
How does ART® improve performance?
Performance of any task, such as golfing, typing or walking, can be improved significantly with ART®. Restoring proper muscle function and movement enables the body to perform at its most efficient level. Adhesions create drag and tension which requires more energy and effort to accomplish a desired movement. Reaction times can also be improved as muscle function is improved. ART® allows the body to do what you ask of it when you need it.
